Here are my favorite banks and some of their current promotions:
Wachovia is promoting their Way to Save account. This is a savings account tied to a checking account. It provides a 5% interest rate and you earn a 5% bonus on however much money you have deposited into the account at the end of the year. The downside is that you can only deposit up to $100 in the account per month directly. The bank also transfers $1 from your checking account each time you have funds leave your checking account from paying bills, debit card transactions etc. A 5% yield on top of a 5% bonus is pretty much the best rate you will get in the market right now.
